A day for warm

Today is a day for warm. My PA is constantly amazed by the fact I don't wear a vest all the way through winter and today is one of the days I agree I might need one. Temperature is important to think about particularly for me because being too hot stresses my POTs (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia syndrome) and I get dizzy and collapse. Too cold and I tense all my muscles and dislocate myself. The answer? Layers. Layers. Easy to remove layers. The skirt that I'm wearing is so awesome I own two colour ways and two more are on their way to me. It's cool enough to be worn on the hottest day of summer touring a hospital (notorious for their blistering warmth), but it's slightly brushed so seems to add warmth in the winter. The jumper I found in a St Luke's charity shop. They're a wonderful organisation and have awesome shops. A large proportion of my stuff seems to come from there and go back there when I'm done with it. The jumper itself i

New Beginnings

If you look at the previous post you'll see I started writing this blog on New Year's Day last year. Like most New Year's resolutions, I didn't stick with it, so I'm seeing if December resolutions will have more adhesion! Blogger asked me for a category for this, but it sadly didn't have the option for wheelchair fashion/adaptations/rambling. Too niche. Over the years a lot of people have asked me where I get my clothes from, or how I make outfits work with a wheelchair, and have suggested a blog. I resisted, but largely because of the logistics of trying to take full length pictures of myself, rather than me having any problems being vain enough to write about how cool my outfits are. So, with this blog, expect a lot of pictures of me in different outfits, but also adaptations I've made to make looking stylish while using a wheelchair easier. With that said, on to the content.  Today's post is brought to you by Knee Length Boots. Kn

Beginnings

It's finally here. It's beginning. Roll Model. A blog about style with comfort. Versatile outfits that work sitting or standing, outfits for inside and out, outfits that I can sleep in if I need to but I feel good. So here, to start things off is my new year's eve outfit: Dress - Vfemage bought on Ali express Shoes - Collectif (on sale right now!) Scarf - Bought in India many moons ago Cardigan - Charity shop find Coat - Vintage shop The dress is a soft stretchy velvet which means that while it looks awesome, it is comfortable enough to have a lie down in (as I did!) and because it's stretchy, it doesn't ride up too high as soon as you sit down. The shoes were an absolute bargain from Collectif in the sale, and being wedges mean it's slightly easier to balance than heels.
